Johnny Joint machined from billet
This Jhonny Joint has been supplied for years to all our Racing Teams participating in the Trial 4x4, WTI Extreme Championship, Knockout and X-series championships!
This Johnny Joint and all of its components are machined entirely from billet.
C45 steel is used in the construction of the Johnny Joint, starting from a solid rod through turning and subsequent milling, and sliding is provided by two un-molded shells made from solid with a high-quality semi-crystalline polymer with high mechanical strength and very low coefficient of friction.
The use of these materials makes it virtually wear-free even with extreme use and allows for precise movements and excellent vibration absorption.Being self-lubricating, it does not require maintenance; however, there is a grease nipple to allow for better lubrication.
This joint is fully serviceable and thanks to the threaded ferrule it can be opened for cleaning and adjusting the play that can build up over time, all spare parts are always available.
They are available with an M24X1.5 threaded stem with either right or left-handed thread, complete with nut and washer, the ball has a width of 65mm, 60mm or 50mm and a bore of 10mm, 12mm or 14mm but any size can be produced on request.
