These reinforced rear control arms replace the original Suzuki Vitara ones without any modification; they are realised in C45, galvanized and painted with epoxy powders.
The adjustable attack allows the installation of these control arms both on an original suspension kit and on a lift-kit, in which a regualation of the rear axle’s position is needed.
It is possible to move the rear axle forward up to 40mm, resulting in an improvement in stability - thanks to the lenghtened wheelbase - and, of course, in the departure angle.
The control arms are provided with polyurethane bushings on the attack to the axle, while the bush on the chassis has been replaced by a JOHNNY JOINT spherical joint - made internally by HM4X4 - that can be completely overhauled and greased.
The Johnny Joint, compared to a classic silentblock, ensures a greater torsion of the control arm, increasing its mobility especially on high excursion; it is thanks to this joint that the control arm is no longer stressed by the torsion forces and the suspension is much more fluid and faster in movement.
The Johnny Joint, in fact, is a joint with much more linear movements than a classic silentblock, because it always rotates around a fixed point with an improvement also on road stability.
For the construction of the Johnny Joint, C45 steel is used and the sliding is guaranteed by two non-molded shells made from solid, with a high-quality semi-crystalline polymer, high mechanical strength and very low friction coefficient.
The use of these materials makes it practically wear-free even in extreme use and allows precise movements and excellent absorption of vibrations.
Our Johnny Joint system was developed and tested during the Italian XTC championship with excellent results.
