Full floating axle kit Suzuki Samurai
This full floating axle kit, which can be installed on all Suzuki Samurai and SJs with wide axles that have an oversize +60 mm per side, leaves the axle shaft with the sole task of transmitting traction since the weight of the vehicle and thus all the forces to which the wheels are subjected are discharged to the hubs.
With the same diameter and materials, a drive-only axle shaft is much stronger than a standard system axle shaft.
The diameter of the axle shaft is increased and machined so that it can be accommodated in the axle without having to turn the hub, the junction point with the splines is tapered and reinforced to prevent a point of failure, the special alloy with which they are constructed makes them suitable for even very heavy-duty use.
They are made in Italy from TPR1 type steel with induction heat treatment on the splines, which makes the splines extremely strong while leaving the torsion properties of the shaft body unaltered.
The kit comes with flanges to install the Suzuki Samurai front hubs on the rear axle, which are very durable and easy to find.
You can install it with any type of rear differential, either original or with ARB, Self-locking or Spool locking differential.
Installing the Samurai's front hubs allows you to install disc brakes and widens the track width by 25mm on each side, any axle shaft replacement also becomes very easy as you only need to disassemble the hub even with the wheel mounted to extract the axle shaft.
They are also successfully used with 35” tires.
